Guide for Creating Your Gait Video
This guide will help you create a gait video that accurately assesses your movement patterns, including your feet, knees, hips, and upper body.​​​​
​​​​Preparation
What to Wear:

Barefoot: No socks or shoes.

Bottoms: Tight leggings, fitted shorts, or underwear (no baggy clothing).

Top: A tight-fitting T-shirt, vest, or top that shows your posture clearly.

Ideal Recording Space:

A solid, flat surface (like tile, wood flooring, or carpet).
-
Ensure the space is safe to walk without obstacles.

Recording Your Video
Camera Setup:

Use your smartphone or camera.
-
If available, activate the slow-motion feature for better movement analysis.
Video Instructions:

Straight Line Walk:
-
Walk towards the camera and then away from the camera for a few metres.

Repeat this 2-3 times.

Turn in both directions (left and right) when changing direction.

Side-to-Side Walk:
-
Walk from left to right in front of the camera.
-
Walk from right to left in front of the camera.
-
Repeat 2-3 times.

Key Tips:

Keep the camera steady, ideally placed on a stable surface.

Make sure your entire body, from head to toe, is visible in the frame.

Ensure there is good lighting so that your fully body can be seen.

After Recording

Review your video to ensure clarity and full-body visibility.

Send the video as instructed.
